“Like the beat of a drum, Lime Squeeze wakes you up—bright, tart, and alive with possibility.”
I met Josh at one of his drum circles at Sacred Springs, though I’d known of him long before. He’s a staple in the music community—always planting seeds of rhythm and joy wherever he goes. Like Johnny Appleseed, he scatters music that grows on its own, helping people reconnect with the beat inside them.
Josh took me to the Fulton Street Cemetery for this portrait, to a tree where others leave incense and offerings. It felt sacred, and he came alive among the branches and leaves, as if he was part of their rhythm. Josh regulates his nervous system through drumming, but he also has a practice of stillness—sitting with the trees, listening. Where Ryan in Truffle Brown connected to the trunk, Josh in Lime Squeeze felt like the leaves: bright, kinetic, always in motion.
Josh isn’t just a performer—he’s a teacher, a facilitator, a guide. For over 20 years he has taught Afro-Cuban and Latin percussion, performed with Cabildo, and partnered with local organizations to bring music and rhythm to people of all ages. He leads monthly community drum circles, and he’s now serving as President-Elect of the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild, connecting local practice to global rhythm. This electric shade of green suits him perfectly: tart, alive, and full of movement.

Symbolism
Lime Squeeze is the color of vitality, curiosity, and quickening. It represents the spark of life—the electric jolt that wakes you up to possibility. Like new leaves in the spring, it’s both delicate and daring, a reminder that growth often feels surprising.

Psychology
Psychologically, this shade resonates with those learning, teaching, or guiding others. It says: “You don’t need to know it all—just share what you love.” Lime Squeeze encourages experimentation, play, and the freedom to be in process rather than perfect.

Energetics
This hue activates the solar plexus and heart chakras, sparking joy, confidence, and open-hearted connection. It brings people together through movement and rhythm, much like a drum circle itself.

Somatics
In the body, Lime Squeeze may feel like lightness through the lungs and chest. It inspires movement in the arms and rhythm in the hands—an embodied beat that connects mind, body, and spirit. Wearing it may spark laughter, play, and spontaneous connection.

If Lime Squeeze is your color, you may be ready to lead with joy. To share what lights you up. To step into spaces where your rhythm makes others feel alive too.
✨ Come experience it for yourself — Josh will be leading a community drum circle on Sunday, Sept 28th at 1pm at Has Heart. Don’t miss the chance to feel this rhythm in your own body.
