“He looked like a firework in the night sky — bright, complex, and fading gently into something even deeper.”
I met Laego at an improv class (@grandrapidsimprov) and we connected over our different personas. He’s soft-spoken in conversation but holds entire characters within him. One moment, he’s Daniel Craig petting a cat. Next, he’s floating in a zero-gravity retreat. Laego is an actor, musician, comedian, and voiceover artist — a layered soul with the emotional intelligence of someone who’s been the oldest sibling all his life.
We styled him in a rich blend of Ultraviolet and Nightshade — deep hues that reflected the mystery and magic he carries. With his dyed hair trailing the same color story, he looked like a firework mid-fade — soft and striking at once.
Our shoot began outside the Grand Rapids Public Museum and meandered along the Blue Bridge, through the riverwalk, and beside the Marriott’s fluoridation sculpture. When I asked where he’d love to travel, he said it wasn’t about the destination — it was about the right people. That’s how he approaches everything: with presence, not performance. Laego danced in the river’s rapids — flowing, expressive, and free. In a world that often demands noise, Laego reminds you how powerful it is to move with intention.

Symbolism
Ultraviolet is velvet thunder — rich with complexity, spiritual insight, and creative devotion. This shade symbolizes transformation, ritual, and meaningful presence. It’s often chosen by those who operate below the surface: intuitive, creative, and quietly powerful.

Psychology
Ultraviolet supports people in transition. Whether you’re navigating grief, integration, or personal reinvention, this color affirms your inner strength. It gives permission to be sensitive and powerful at the same time — to hold paradox without apology.

Energy
This color resonates with the third eye and crown chakras, enhancing spiritual clarity, intuition, and imagination. It supports creatives, mystics, and those who carry light into dark spaces. It invites trust in your inner voice.

Somatics
Wearing Ultra Violet may feel like a soft exhale — a gentle clearing in the mind, a steadying warmth in the chest. It soothes scattered energy and enhances emotional steadiness. It holds you without hardening you.

If Ultra Violet is your color, you may be stepping into a sacred evolution. You’re reclaiming lost pieces, owning your softness, and deepening into your creative truth. This color reminds you: ✨ Your mystery is medicine. Your presence is power. ✨
