“Bleeding is a rebirth. A letting go. A remembering. Each month, I rise again.”
Cassie is a Phoenix—rising not just from fire, but from rhythm. From ritual. From the bold act of partnering with her cycle rather than resisting it. For her Power Portrait, she chose Pomegranate Red, a color of sacred aliveness. Not a costume, but a companion. A hue she now wears each month when she bleeds.
We met at Third Leaf Orchard, a regenerative farm buzzing with wild bees, rich soil, and stories layered into the land. Though off-season, we surrounded Cassie with sweetness—cherries, strawberries, and Honeycrisp apples—and she danced in the wind wearing garments she had dyed. She didn’t want them to be drenched in red; she wanted them splattered, like blood, memory, and reclamation.
She’s currently in a menstrual leadership program with @red.school, exploring how to honor rather than hide the power of our cycles. “Bleeding is a rebirth,” she told me. “A beginning and an end. The color red is so powerful. Our cycle is powerful—if we are open to partnering with it, rather than an enemy.”
Cassie embodied that partnership fully. She found wild asparagus in the grass and twirled it like a wand. She moved through poses and pauses with the intuitive presence only someone deeply connected to their inner seasons can hold. She wore red not as a warning signal but as an invocation.

Symbolism
Pomegranate Red is the color of sacred vitality. It represents the duality of life: fertility and loss, sweetness and sting, softness and power. In many cultures, the pomegranate symbolizes feminine wisdom, mystery, and renewal.

Psychology
This color resonates with those reclaiming their bodies and stories. It’s for leaders who love with conviction, heal through presence, and refuse to be quiet about what matters. It’s not performative—it’s personal.

Energy
Rooted in the root and sacral chakras, Pomegranate Red activates your foundation while stoking your inner fire. It’s a color that says: Be here. Be whole. Be honest.

Somatics
You may feel your hips soften, your breath deepen, your heart quicken. Pomegranate grounds and ignites. It’s a color for the body, not just the eyes.

If this color resonates with you, you may be in a season of sacred reclamation. You may be ready to wear your cycles, your fire, your truth—not just quietly, but out loud.
✨ You are allowed to bleed and bloom. To fall and rise. To begin again. ✨
